Don't Buy the Lie

Mothers, don't let anyone ever dupe you into thinking there's anything noble or disgraceful about remaining at home and raising your family.

Don't buy the lie that you're repressed if you're a worker in the home instead of in the world's workplace.

Devoting yourself fully to your role as wife and mother is not repression; it's true liberation.

Multitudes of women have bought the world's lie, put on a suit, picked up a briefcase, dropped their children off for someone else to raise, and gone into the workplace, only to realize after fifteen years that they and their children have a hollow void in their hearts.

Many such career women now say they wish they had devoted themselves to motherhood and the home instead.

  6. Mmmm, what a blessing that so many see it that way! Excited to be a mother-at-home one day myself. Meanwhile, learning from those who already are and applauding them for their courage to stand up for what God says is right in this world of quickly crumbling morals or ideals. So thankful that God does not change and that we as His children do not need to worry about changing with the world and its trends, but instead about being steadfast to what God decrees. So freeing!

  7. Amen and thank you for the reminder! It's so very encouraging to find women out in blog world who have the same ideals as my family does. In this society we live in, like-minded women are hard to come by! Thanks!

  10. So true!
Homemaking is a fulfilling vocation - not simply a career.
Careers come and go..jobs are lost and dreams dashed by the world.
A homemaker has a godly calling and vocation for life!

  11. For a women to serve God by serving her Husband and children at home is indeed true liberation!

What a privilege a godly mother has to teach the Word of God to her children and follow this scripture:

"You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied. . .
    (Deuteronomy 11:18-21)

This is a evil day we live in, may we be sober about obeying the Word of God and raising our children for Him!

This is my first time visiting your blog.
Keep writing! You are doing a good job!
    Thank you for sharing,
    Sarah
